END.
That's
it. This is the end, beautiful friend the end.
It
was about this time in 2002 that Fanboys started and
I can't believe that I drew this for nearly 4 years
already. What I can't believe even more was that I kept
drawing and writing this comic for nearly 4 years before
realising that it's not as good as I thought it was,
not as funny as I thought it was.
It
sure didn't help that the stories this year wasn't up
to scratch and I kinda feel like I've run out of stories
to tell for the guys at the comics cave. So instead
of letting the strip get worst and worst I've decided
(quite some time ago I might add) that I will end this
strip and wanted to give them a final grand adventure
to bid their farewell. The funeral was quickened with
further discussions with my friends and I had to bring
it to a close.
What
I must say is that it has most certainly been fun and
I love this medium too much to give up entirely on it.
I am working on some other stuff which I hope will see
the light of day but fanboys in the current form is
over.
I
must thank each and every one of you readers for reading
the strip over the years and thanks a great deal for
reading. Seeing the traffic counter jump made it worthwhile
and it thrills me to know that some of you out there
actually enjoy the strip a lot but I think that I owe
it to you and most of all to myself to make sure that
if I want to post something up, it's gotta be good.
It's
bitter sweet for me now as I type this final message
as I have grown to love these characters as many of
them found their own voices (for me anyway) and it pains
me to say good bye but as the recent stories demonstrates,
it is better to end it here.
